Hampton National Day of Prayer Program

hampton national day of prayer program

HLS is hosting a National Day of Prayer luncheon and program on May 2, 2019, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Hampton Auditorium.

The lunch will start at 11:30 AM. A freewill donation will be accepted for the lunch, which includes ham, baked potatoes, salad, baked beans, dinner rolls, and dessert. The money raised will be given to the relief fund for Nebraska flood relief through Orphan Grain Train.

The National Day of Prayer program will begin at noon. The program will be led by Pastor Tim Wells from Cross of Christ in Aurora, and it will include prayer written and spoken by the fifth and sixth grade class. The program will also include music led by the HLS students.

Our theme this year is Love One Another, based on John 13:34.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.”

John 13:34

Scripture tells us again and again that God hears our prayers and lovingly provides the best for us; that He responds to His children’s earnest prayers and in His wisdom, answers them.

At this crucial time for our nation, the most important thing we can do is pray. Thank you in advance for making this spiritual discipline a personal priority and for standing with us as we encourage others to incorporate prayer in their lives. The Lord graciously blesses our efforts, empowering them to touch and change many hearts and minds. We look forward to being His hands and feet as he works in our lives and in our land! May the Lord’s peace fill your heart as you rest in Him throughout the days ahead.
