Mrs. Jean Carnoali has been with HLS since 1994. She teaches the fifth and sixth graders and kindergarten through sixth music. In Mrs. Carnoali's room, each student finds their identity spiritually as they continue to apply God’s truths to their lives. She strives to make the 5-6th graders ready for the world of middle school and high school by teaching them solid academics and good study skills.
She and her husband, Ed, have two children. Johnathon & his wife Krysten live in South Dakota, and Mary recently graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska.
Kindergarten & Preschool Teacher

Mrs. Lisa Montoya has taught in other Lutheran schools for eight years prior to coming to HLS. She is very excited to join the HLS family for the 2016-17 school year as the kindergarten and preschool teacher. Mrs. Montoya loves to see students grow and become just who they were meant to be. Miss Pope graduated from York College in 2013. She then did her student teaching with Mrs. Jean Carnoali in the 5th & 6th grade room in the spring of 2013. Miss Pope has taught at HLS part-time for two years in the afternoon kindergarten class. She taught first and second graders and K-2 PE full time during the 2016-2017 school year. She enjoys incorporating learning activities and hands on projects as much as possible to keep the students engaged. She likes to travel the world and share her life experiences about different cultures with her students. Miss Pope encourages her students to care for one another and trust in the Lord.
3rd & 4th Grade Teacher

Mrs. Nadine Bankson has taught at HLS since 1994. She teaches the 3rd & 4th graders and 3rd-6th PE. Her class is always taking fun field trips to explore the information learned in the classroom in the real world. Her students explore their relationship with the Lord by being good role models for the younger students. They also explore becoming more independent and responsible with their studies. Mrs. Bankson is always finding new and exciting current events to involve the students in their studies.
She and her husband, Brian, have two children, Tyler and Travis.
