Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! You have entrusted your children into our care. The primary importance of HLS is to share the story of Jesus with our children. Teaching them to be successful in God’s world becomes part of the joy. We pray God’s blessings on our year.
This year, Christians will celebrate 500 years since Martin Luther’s Protestant Reformation. Since the
very beginning, the Lutheran church has emphasized the need of Christian education for its children. Luther knew it was imperative for parents to teach their children the true faith based on Grace and God’s Word alone.
Knowing this and remembering Christ’s command to teach all nations, (Matthew 28:19- 20), after 500 years we continue to proclaim, “It’s Still All About Jesus!” We point to this verse in Hebrews 13:8: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Jesus is still with us and still loves us. May all be to His glory!
